1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Verdict ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including users who are contributors of content, information, or other materials or services.

2. Description of Service

Verdict is a multi-LLM consensus research platform that orchestrates live debates between multiple frontier AI models and human participants to discover truth through consensus-driven analysis. The Platform enables users to:

  • Create and participate in debates with multiple AI models
  • Upload private documents for RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) integration
  • Provide their own API keys (BYOK - Bring Your Own Keys) for AI model access
  • Share public debates and engage with the community
  • Export debate transcripts and results

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security of your password and identification
  • Accept all responsibility for activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts
  • Use the Platform for illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation or servers
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Collect or harvest information about other users without their consent
  • Use automated systems to access the Platform without authorization

5. API Keys and BYOK Model

Verdict operates on a Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK) model. When you provide API keys:

  • You are responsible for the security and management of your API keys
  • You are responsible for all costs incurred through your API key usage
  • We encrypt and store your API keys using industry-standard encryption (AES-256-GCM)
  • We do not access or use your API keys except as necessary to provide the Platform services
  • You may revoke or update your API keys at any time through your workspace settings
  • You agree to comply with the terms of service of all AI providers whose keys you use

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload, create, or submit to the Platform ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Platform services.

6.2 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by AI models through the Platform may be subject to the terms of service of the respective AI providers. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • AI models may generate content that infringes on third-party rights
  • You are responsible for verifying and validating AI-generated content before use
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content

6.3 Platform Content

All content, features, and functionality of the Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by Verdict or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption of API keys and sensitive data
  • Secure database connections
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Regular security audits and updates

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.1 No Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8.2 AI Content Disclaimer

You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or contain errors
  • Consensus measurements are estimates and not guarantees of accuracy
  • The Platform does not verify or validate AI-generated content
  • You should independently verify all information before making decisions based on AI-generated content

8.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERDICT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Verdict, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your Content or any content you submit to the Platform

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Platform will immediately cease
  • We may delete your account and associated data
  • You remain responsible for all charges incurred prior to termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Verdict operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

14. Severability

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Verdict regarding your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
